AGA serves government accountability professionals by providing quality education, fostering professional development and certification, and supporting standards and research to advance government accountability.

With more than 14,000 members across the country, AGA is the conduit that brings together people who wouldn't ordinarily have access to each other.  AGA members are local finance directors, state auditors and federal cheif financial officers, but they all join for the same reason - access to an organization that represents the width and breadth of the profession.  AGA is a financial management organization with members in federal, state, and local government, as well as nonprofit and private sector members who are affected by or provide services to government.
