Community Service

AGA Indianapolis plays a vital role in supporting the culture of citizenship, service, and responsibility. We are a catalyst for change and champion for the ideal that every AGA Member has skills and talents to give.

The Community Service committee provides opportunities for AGA Members and their families to address critical community needs. Drawing on their skills, experience and concern for others, they provide a wide range of services. These include tutoring, collecting school supplies, helping low-income families file taxes, and caring for our service members.

Let us know what you have to offer!!!
Help the Community Service Committee by contacting Katie Buck x212-4590 or Brandi Hobson x212-6520.

The Association of Government Accountants and IPS #105 would like to express gratitude for those who participated in the Angel Tree program benefiting 4 IPS #105 families.  Your generosity helped make special Christmas Memories for 16 blessed children.  In addition, $400 worth of gift cards brightened the holidays for other families at the school who needed assistance.

The AGA Community Service Committee thanks everyone who generously donated school supplies.  We collected 10 boxes of items to take to IPS #105 Charles Warren Fairbanks.  In addition, AGA donated a $50 Wal-Mart gift card.  The school was very grateful for the donation and sends a giant "thank you" to all for the supplies.

The community service committee organized a day of service at Our Lil Bit of Heaven Animal Rescue and Sanctuary on 10/15/11.  7 volunteers trekked down to Poland, IN and completed multiple projects in preparation for the winter including: repairing fencing, repairing runs, and putting up insulation.  As if the beautiful weather wasn't rewarding enough for all of this outdoor labor, all 7 volunteers received slobbery puppy love from Tiny, the Great Dane, and his pals.
