Strategic Themes Accountability Certification Education and research Service Accountability Promote and advance accountability in government Publish articles in the newsletter, have guest speakers, and teach at local PDIs on subjects which promote accountability, integrity, ethics, emerging issues, and best practices Promote government accountability at college and accounting club briefings Certification Make the CGFM the preferred professional designation for the government accountability community Establish study groups to help employees obtain CGFM certification Publicize those who attain CGFM certification in the newsletter and on our website Send letters to local organizations (e.g.-, government agencies, academia, public accounting firms, etc.) promoting the CGFM and encourage them to provide incentives for CGFMs Education and Research Provide comprehensive education and research to meet changing needs of the government accountability profession Provide leadership training Publicize web-based training classes which provide CPEs Host a minimum of one local PDI per year Provide CPE training throughout the year Service Provide members and customers with quality programs, products, and services Research recruitment and retention best practices and send results to AGA leadership Identify and develop potential future AGA leaders at the local regional levels
